Computer Connection
Why did I take this course: I enrolled in the Info Tech 12 co-op because it was very beneficial for me. I want to apply for post-secondary sometime early on in the second semester so I could get it done and over with. The only problem was that I wanted as much computer courses in the first semester as they were most relevant to my application and I needed a worthy portfolio. Since all my computer courses were in the first semester this meant that I could create an extremely visually appealing portfolio with ease.
Computer related skills: I had Info Tech 11 in grade 10 first semester and I got 69%. It got me familiar with the Adobe Suite and I forgot a lot that I have learned but I am sure I will remember a lot of it as I go along through the curriculum. I am proefficent in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. I have a basic understanding of how to use Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, After Effects, and Excel.
What do I hope to learn in this course: I hope to gain a valuable skill set that will prepare me for post-secondary and allow me to get a career in a field that I am passionate about. I also want to get a better understanding of what I like to do better and which would make a better priority for my future career. My goal is to efficiently use the Adobe Suite to perform independent tasks and projects for my own benefit so I can practice these skills and gain a better understanding at home.
What mark do you hope to achieve in this course and what is your plan for achieving it: I hope to achieve marks that are higher enough that I will have a variety of options of where to go for post-secondary and to be able to be enrolled into my most preferred post-secondary program.
